As Chief Operating Officer at Probax, Sam Meegahage has been pivotal in guiding the organization to be an industry leader of backup management.

Sam's tenure is marked by a commitment to innovation, team building, and the delivery of superior data protection solutions. 

At the core of his approach is a passion for MSPs and helping them to solve complex backup management challenges, while leveraging best in breed technology to safeguard their clients’ most valuable asset — their business data. 

He has adeptly navigated strategic sales, enhanced market positioning, and spearheaded technological integrations with industry giants, including Veeam and Wasabi Technologies.

Sam has over two decades of experience in the IT & Telecommunications field, with a significant portion of that time spent in leadership roles within IT Services (MSP) and Telecommunications. His extensive background includes over 15 years in various senior management positions, highlighting his capability in guiding teams and projects to success.

Before his tenure at Probax, he excelled in key positions such as State Manager, General Manager, and National Sales Manager at the ASX-listed company, Inabox Group (ASX:IAB). Notably, in his most recent position, Sam was responsible for managing a portfolio that surpassed $100 million, effectively managing both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) channels. 

Under Sam’s leadership as COO, Probax has achieved significant milestones—from launching the innovative MSP Backup platform to being honored as Veeam's 'Innovation Partner of the Year.' These accomplishments underscore his dedication to fostering a culture of innovation within the team, with each success reflecting a commitment to service excellence.
